There are benefits to aging and this is one of them. Many hospitable ski resorts in New England provide free skiing to seniors. The age originally was 70 and I anxiously awaited my 70th birthday to take advantage of this lovely gift. Lo and behold they move the age to 75. Once again I patiently waited to become 75 to start my free skiing. I am sure you can guess where I’m going with this. Then they moved the age to 80 and two years ago I took advantage of skiing the entire season as a guest.
When you consider the logic of it at that age, the amount of snow I was using on the mountain is quite minimal and so it was a gracious gesture with little wear and tear on the mountain. Here we are two years later and Howard now can enjoy the privilege of skiing as a guest. We have been skiing for the past 60 years and it was an investment with a pleasant return. Happy skiing!
